About your host: Astrid has 5 years of experience designing fragrance and hosting sensory experiences with Perfume Playground. Her interest in aromatherapy and background in costume design allow her to balance the artistic and scientific sides of fragrance design, creating scents that precisely capture the imagination. Some of her clients include Auckland Convention Bureau, NZFW, and KFC, alongside many happy event guests celebrating every imaginable occasion. She is currently continuing her education in Design and Creative Technologies as a Doctoral candidate at Auckland University of Technology. Her recent research focuses on the materiality of modern ritual, with an emphasis on fashion, glamour, and (naturally) scent.
